Short Presentation Contest Final Result
A SHORT PRESENTATION CONTEST RESULT
Whether you won or didn’t win, you were worthy! Congratulations!
On the day of November 5th, 2022, total of ten students gave a short presentation that took about 5 minutes each, and some were chosen to win, some were not. They were evaluated based on the effort displayed during the class and the contest. That involves hours they spent on preparation, correction of pronunciation and compositions. However, it took nearly a month for Four judges decide points to each student and giving comments by evaluating both contest presentation and classroom video. Many participants received slightly different points from one another. All the participants were honored and received gifts from SWACIA office. Let us congratulate four individuals Stephanie Flynn, Cameron Evanovich who successfully passed the final exam of Romaji course on February 20th, 2022, Ayako Ueda and Yukari Kurihara who likewise successfully passed the Japanese teaching method final exam on February 1st, and August 21st 2022 respectively. It is their hard work, dedication and passion towards the goal that helped them to this honorable achievement. We wish that both keep reaching for goals and dreams and never forget the ability to achieve them.

In the spring of 1990, I moved to New York with my family because of my husband’s job. My daughter and son grew up in NY. I remember I went to introduce Japanese culture at my children’s elementary school. Children there were so curious about Japanese culture with sparkling eyes. I wrote Kanji and made miso soup for them. So I am very thankful to those who are interested in Japan. Now I am with Swacia, and very happy to get to know you!

Hello, I was born and raised in Japan and I am a founder of SWACIA and a faculty member of Westchester Community College in New York. When I used to run a non-profit organization in Africa, Japanese government funded me to make a Japanese textbook, “Japanese in 30 Weeks Romaji Course” in 2017. With this textbook I will show you the most powerful tool to reproduce inflections of other 10,000 Japanese verbs automatically and correctly. It is the standard Japanese, as spoken in Tokyo, which is understood by anybody in Japan. This is our exclusive and quickest method, and I am very excited to introduce you the methods!

Our passion to redefine traditional business and help students achieve their goal is what drove us to start board of directorship. Founded in 2013 in Japan, Swacia Inc. had focused on a solution to all language learners. Upon relocation in New York, non-profit activities had been suspended, instead online language school, Swacia Multi-national has been established since 2018. However, we will resume non-profit Swacia Inc. separately to help students succeed. To maximize transparency, a new Board of Directors will be established. We aim to alter the current ways of providing language instructions, as well as fast track new ways that will ease the obstacles of language learners.
