Swacia Japanese Language School

Our organization, SWACIA, started as non-profit in Japan 2013, and our earlier work focused on women and children in Nigeria. In 2016 we began teaching Japanese 150 pupils in an elementary school. Then the Japanese government granted us a fund to produce textbooks for Japanese language learners. As a non-profit, we were the first one to introduce Japanese language to Nigerians in Nigeria. Upon visa expiration to work in Nigeria, we received an assignment to teach Japanese in Abuja university, and therefore, our Japanese in 30 Weeks I Romaji course textbook was published in New York while waiting for the visa.  However, it took a long time and the visa was not issued until our online school SWACIA is established in New York. We had reached the point of no return on the road to teach American students Japanese and had to go forward!

The textbook has expertise contents suitable to university education. Japanese teachers in Tokyo were recruited to teach Japanese online since 2018. The textbook uses the method that is unique and cannot be found in any other textbooks, schools, or institutions. With this method, you can learn the conjugation patterns of all Japanese verbs just by memorizing only 19 verbs. Total conversation course is 60 hours+.  Many of our students mastered Japanese conversations in 60 – 120 hours. We are very glad to be in the U.S. after all and appreciate the privilege to help you learn Japanese language.

Cordially, Hideko Nagashima
